Oktoberfest 2010

The excitement has been growing for months and now is the time of year we have been waiting for – the weather is perfect, the stars are aligned, the beer has been brewed! ~ thats right its Oktoberfest time yet again!!

This year the German Village Society is helping Schmidt’s (our favorite sausage haus) pull off an amazing weekend of Schnitzel, Brats, Marketplatz and Kinderplatz, and of course plenty of Bier!!

Help us, help them!!   The German Village Society has been charged with providing volunteers for the fun, spirited weekend of events.  As a sign of their appreciation and in exchange for our assistance with providing volunteers for the event, Schmidt’s is making a donation to the German Village Society.  Please consider helping the wonderful folks sponsoring this annual event by signing up for a few hours of your time.  In exchange for your volunteering, we will ensure your FREE admission to Oktoberfest ALL weekend long as well as fun filled cheer and camaraderie!!

Volunteer Positions Available

Oktoberfest AMBASSADOR

      Description:  Serve as a warm-smiled greeter as folks enter the Oktoberfest and assist those with the uncanny appearance of utter ‘confusion’ with maps, directions, lists of events for the weekend, or a simple redirection to the nearest Bier stand!

Oktoberfest VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN

     Description:  Help those helping us!  Simply be available to sign-in fellow Oktoberfest volunteers as they enter the Volunteer booth.  We will also ask you to provide assistance in making sure Volunteers are aware of refreshments and other goodies available to them while they are ‘on duty’ at the event all weekend long.

Oktoberfest German Village Society BOOTH VOLUNTEER

     Description:  This is a special opportunity available to volunteers interested in representing the German Village Society at this fun filled event all weekend long.  We will have plenty of fun and  cheer to go around as we advocate and educate folks about our wonderful community.  If you have a true passion for the German Village neighborhood or an infectious personality when talking about ‘the ole South End’ then this is the spot for you!

   I cant find anywhere that tells what time the oktoberfest starts I know it is Sept. 24,25,26. What time can we get in the gate. Thanks
