2011 Village Valuables and Sidewalk Sale
Saturday, May 14th 2011 8am – 3pm
Get a jump start on your Spring Cleaning ~ Village Valuables is right around the corner! As always, Village Valuables is the Saturday after Mother’s Day, and you can bet that shoppers will have a route mapped out for May 14th in German Village. This year’s map distribution will be even greater than in years past, but we do have limited space. Please complete the residential listing form and return it to the German Village Society Meeting Haus as soon as possible to ensure that your location is placed on our Village Valuables map.
Here is what you’ll get:
- 25,000 maps with address and sale description distributed throughout Central Ohio via ThisWeek Community Newspapers and distributed at the event and displayed in supporting businesses
- Promotional ads (not listings) will run in 12 ThisWeek Community Newspapers throughout central Ohio three weeks prior to the event
- Fully Printable map will available prior to event via www.Thisweeknews.com and www.germanvillage.com
But here is what you need to give:
- 20 word maximum for your sale description
- Standard rate for GVS members is $10; Nonmember rate is $15.
- NOTE: Deadline Extended!
- Additionally, there is space still available on the Platz for rent!For $30 (GVS Members) - $40 (Non GVS Members) you’ll get a 10′x10′ booth space, one (1) 8′ folding table, and your Description (20 words or less) listing on the map.
- Cash or check and completed form to be dropped off at German Village Society Meeting Haus by Monday, April 25th, 4pm.
- Don’t miss this opportunity to show off our neighborhood, create some space in your home, and add some cash to your wallet!

Village Valuables is Saturday, May 19, 2012.
Just to get this on the calendar, it is the saturday after mothers day in 2012? Correct? I know that there are fees for the platz but are there fees for schiller? I see a lot of people that line up and set up shop on the park? I know this a little early. But i want to make sure that I don’t miss it. This year. I have been cleaning house and putting things a side so I will be ready!

Unfortunately not, Village Valuables goes on – rain or shine. It can be quite a challenge to move the date although we promise to ask the weather folks to do their best and cooperate with us!
The weather forecast says 70% chance of rain. Will it postponed until the following weekend if it rains?

You should be able to find a parking spot on most any of the streets just be sure to check the signs. Shouldn’t be too much of an issue but would recommend you look for a spot on Mohawk as that is a fairly centralized street so you wouldn’t need to move the car at all once you’ve parked. Hope this helps and we hope you enjoy the shopping!

When will the Village Valuable map be available/posted online?
You may certainly set up a table and we wish you the best in selling as much of your ‘gold’ as possible. Of course, next year we hope you participate in the advertising and village map as this helps support the community. Thanks for contacting us!
This is our first year in the village and we missed the cutoff to include our address on the listing. Can we still set up a table even though we are not listed?
Can an outside perso set up a couple of tables to sell their items at the Village Valuable sale? Perhaps on the outskirts of the park? Is there a cost? Thanks
