Formed in 1966 by a handful of residents committed to beautifying the neighborhood that now stands as German Village, their vision and determination has spanned decades. Several of the founding members continue to volunteer and serve active roles.
The annual GartenMarkt is the largest annual fundraiser for the Garten Club . Proceeds from this event benefit the care and maintenance of the Third Street flower planters as well as the care and maintenance of our community jewel, Frank Fetch Park. Our dedicated corps of volunteers plant and decorate year round the 24 planters that parallel our beautiful main boulevard, South Third Street. Garten Club volunteers also plan and produce the ‘Third Sunday Summer Concert Series” at Fetch Park in addition to “Movie Nights at Fetch Park”.
