For many years, the GVS has honored the people who provide outstanding service to our neighborhood. This year, we would like your help. We are soliciting nominations for for the Fred and Howard Award. Use the ‘Message’ box below to submit your nominee. Thank you, in advance, for taking time to recognize your neighbors! You can also submit nominations for the Frank Fetch Award and the Village Valuables Award. You are also welcome to submit your nominee via email to Shiloh Todorov.

Include a brief explanation in the message as to why you believe your nominee is deserving. Submission Deadline: Friday, April 27.

In 1997, the GVS Board of Trustees created a new award to be presented at the Annual Meeting, honoring individual who have done the most to carry the message of German Village and the GVS to the rest of the world – bringing attention and recognition to what we do and what we have achieved. When the Board created the award, there was no question that it be named after Fred & Howard, the champion ambassadors of German Village. In 1997, the very first award was presented to Fred Holdridge and Howard Burns, who did more for the international recognition of GV than anyone.  The plaque which hangs in the Meeting Haus reads:

 “The Fred and Howard”
In recognition of
outstanding ambassadorship and service
to German Village
