Actors Theatre of Columbus

Actors Theatre of Columbus offers classical theatre in a casual outdoor setting in German Village’s Schiller Park Amphitheater.

Audiences experience award winning productions while also sharing picnics, blankets, and the stars with thousands of others holding mutual interests.  During the 2010 summer season, more than 21,000 people attended one or more of the performances.  Actors Theatre has been consistently recognized for its excellence, winning a host of awards in the 2010 from the Central Ohio Theatre Critics Circle, including Best Production of a Play, Best Actress, Best Direction, and Best Design.

The focus each season is on presenting plays by William Shakespeare and other time-honored playwrights that are relevant to a contemporary audience.  The summer season runs from Thursday through Sunday, every week from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.  All performances start at 8 p.m. and are free, although donations are requested.
