St John’s Church is a beacon of hope in the heart of the city of Columbus, where you will find a Spirit-filled congregation practicing the teachings of Jesus and transforming individual lives, our community, and the world through Christ’s light and love.
St John’s United Church of Christ, welcomes into full membership and participation in the Body of Christ persons of every age, economic or marital status, gender, language, nationality, physical or mental ability, race, or sexual orientation. We welcome all to share in the life, leadership, ministry, fellowship, worship, sacraments, responsibilities and blessings of participation in our congregation and Christ’s Church. We embrace diversity in our congregation and community, and affirm the dignity and worth of every person.
Worship services are offered on Sundays at 10:30 am; and Wednesdays at 12 noon with a community lunch, The Largest Table, following that service. Candlelight Evening Prayer is offered once a month for six-months of the year. Christian Education experiences are offered Sundays at 9:00 am. Outreach experiences are offered through The Largest Table (Wednesday community lunch) and our ministry partner The Open Shelter (a day-services agency housed in our building) as well as though music, the creation of durable goods such as chemo caps and prayer shawls, and other annual opportunities.
